- ABC Canada – a private-sector site raising awareness about and championing adult literacy
- Canadian Council on Learning – an independent, non-profit corporation that promotes and supports research to improve all aspects of learning
- Canadian Language & Literacy Research Network – a non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the language, literacy, and numeracy skills of Canadians
- CODE – the Canadian Organization for Development through Education which works with local organizations throughout the developing world to empower children to learn
- Community Literacy Plan – the Greater Victoria School District’s (61) plan to address identified needs in Victoria, View Royal, Oak Bay, Esquimalt and Saanich South
- Literacy BC’s literacy facts page – useful facts about literacy from a provincial literacy organization that promotes and supports literacy and learning in British Columbia
- Literacy Victoria – a non-profit providing free help and support to adults in basic reading, writing, mathematics, computer use and essential skills
