Aboriginal Community Learning

Costs

Programs are funded through diverse community grants and individual resources.

Assessments

Standardized and informal testing tools are administrated by our teachers. The assessment helps determine if there are gaps in skills. The assessor can also observe current strategies and learning styles. This information is presented immediately following the assessment. A written report with results and recommendations is prepared.

Programs

We create individualized 12-week programs that are delivered on traditional territories, including Tsartlip, Tseycum and Tsawout. The program addresses basic academic skills including reading, writing, mathematics, computer literacy and study skills. Lessons are created carefully to ensure they are culturally relevant.
