Supporting literacy benefits your whole community. As a registered non-profit charity, donations from individuals, service clubs and corporations are essential in helping us provide literacy programs for children, youth and adults in BC’s Capital Region. About 20 per cent of our funding comes from donations. The remainder of our funding is obtained through fees for services and successful grant proposals. All of the dollars that come from fundraising initiatives and most of the donations we receive go toward supporting Education Access. This program is for children and youth from low-income households who need help in reading, writing or mathematics. We regularly have waiting lists, which would be reduced if we had more donations. Choose where your money goesYou can choose to donate specifically to Education Access through our pledge form to help a child learn, or you can make an unrestricted, general donation either by contacting us directly or through Canada Helps. We will use these donations according to your instructions. Leave a legacy for future generations by making a donation to our Endowment Fund through the Vancouver Foundation - Leave a Legacy or the Victoria Foundation.
